Opossums have been around for 70 million years..One of Earths oldest surviving mammals...And North Americas only marsupial (has a pouch like a kangaroo)..They also have thumbs on their hind feet...
I think they live under my shed and we see them every year in the spring and summer...Unfortunately Sophie (a very large dog of questionable origin) love to catch them and shake them by the neck till they play dead...sometimes they are actually dead...but usually the bigger ones will lay there until they know shes gone then slowing get up and creep away...they are good cause they eat mice , roaches and bugs... Some say they have the face of a person...Not any person I know of...

at least my dogs don't eat the wild life as some dogs do...Not mentioning any names...(Cleo,Griffin,Ceasar)

No they won't...they are used to the finer things in life , like chicken...and don't tell me opposums taste like chicken...
